1. Quick Bingo
1. Write 15-20 words you want to review on the
board in a scatter pattern.
2. Tell students to copy down 4 of these words
into their notebook at random.
3. Teacher calls out the definitions of each of
these words (or the translation) randomly.
4. Any student that has the word that you define
can cross the word the word off their list. The first student to cross off all of four
words calls out bingo and is the first winner.
5. Continue until all the items have been
crossed off.
2. Simon Says
1. Tell students that you will give directions
for them to follow.
2. If you say "Simon says" first, they
should do it.
3. If you do not say "Simon says"
first, they should not do it.
4. Tell the students to listen carefully and
follow directions.
5. This is a good game for practicing verbs.
3. Words from Letters
1. Divide the learners into teams of 3 or more.
Each team has secretary whose job it is to write
down the words.
2. Tell the groups that you will write down 12
letters (at least 3 are vowels and 5 consonants) on the board and that
the learners have to find and get their secretary
to write down as many 3 or more letter words. As they can from these letters
within 4 minutes.
3. Ts say go and stop after4 minutes.
4. Invite the first group to call out a word.
Any other group who has this word then says so
and all groups tick it off. The second group does this the same and so on. The group with the most words
that no other group has thought of is the winner.
4. Relay Race
1. Students are divided into teams, each team is
given only one marker/piece of chalk/
2. Teacher establishes how the marker/chalk is
to be passed from student to student
during
the game.
For
example: student A writes a letter then passes the chalk to student
B,
who writes a letter and passes the chalk to student C, and so on.
3. The teacher says a word and students take
turns writing the word letter by letter on
the
board.
4.
The team who completes the word correctly first is the winner.
5. Pass it around
1. Divide
the learners into teams of 3 or more.
2. Ts give papers with verbs related to topic
to the teams.
3. The teams write and connect the suitable
words with the verbs.
4. The Teams pass this paper around to other
teams. And the teams white words that no
other group has thought. The papers must be passed around the all teams.
5. After the papers have been passed around all
team, they call out the connected verbs and words
